As has become a beloved annual tradition, an enthusiastic group of people from St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church will team up to make and sell frozen apple dumplings. The dumplings are made with fresh ingredients and lots of love.
Sales begin Oct. 6th and continue on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, 1- 6 pm on Oct. 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 24, 29, 30, and Sundays 9 am-10:30 am until sold out. Keep an eye on the LED sign in front of the church which will detail sale days and inform the community of when the dumplings are sold out.
This is the eighth year in a row that St. Jacob’s has offered the frozen, oven-ready dumplings. To date, the sale of apple dumplings has generated $34,500 for local charitable organizations. New this year: the gang will be designating funds to help the Rager Family purchase a wheelchair accessible van! What an amazing blessing for this young family of our church.
Additional profits from this year’s venture will go to: Haven of Rest a shelter program in Akron; REHAB and Men’s Challenge. Please contact Mary Swartz or Joy Benton with any questions.
Special thanks to Thrivent Financial for supporting the apple dumpling project through their Action Team seed money program!
