WEATHER UPDATE for Trunk or Treat!
The weather looks like it is not going to cooperate but don't despair! Even if it rains, you are welcome to put on those costumes and come to the church (1460 State St NE Canton OH 44721 for your GPS)! In the event of rain, please park in our lower parking lot; however, instead of heading to the upper lot to visit decorated 'trunks', just go to our picnic shelter/pavilion where your kids can pick up the treats they would have received from the 'trunks'.
We will also try to have our photo op set up in the picnic shelter/pavilion so you can snap a few pics of your kids.
Just follow the directions of our volunteers and you can't go wrong. We are definitely hoping for a weather miracle, but we will do our best to make sure your kids leave with a smile no matter what the weather brings!
Thanks for your interest in Trunk or Treat!
Looking for a fun and safe way to celebrate fall and Halloween? Participate in Trunk Or Treat at St. Jacob’s on Sunday, October 24th from 2pm-3:30pm. Click HERE to register for this fun and FREE event! ALl are welcome!! We invite family, friends, and neighbors--especially those young and young at heart--to wander through our parking lot visiting cars decked out in family friendly decorations. At each car, candy or trinkets will be shared with children, along with lots of smiles and fun conversation. Donations for Lutheran Disaster Relief—Hurricane Ida will be collected.
We will do all that we can to make this a Covid-safe event by encouraging participants and volunteers to wear masks and maintain social distance as they move through our Trunk or Treat area. Participants will park in the lower level, walk up to the upper parking lot via the front sidewalk, make their way through the decorated vehicles in the upper parking lot, then walk back to their car via the alley on the south side of the church. This will ensure one-way foot traffic.
There will be no cost to attend, but as a final stop before departing, a table will be set up accepting donations to Lutheran World Relief and sharing information about St. Jacob’s to those interested.
